Camp List

All activities are run in accordance with the Scout Association’s safety rules. The camp organizers can accept NO responsibility for personal equipment, clothing and effects and The Scout Association DOES NOT provide insurance cover in respect of such items. Please contact the camp/activity leader if you require further information. Please NO electronic games or music players.

A parental consent form must be completed before the event with clear contact details for use in an emergency. Do inform us of ALL conditions i.e. Asthma, food intolerances and allergies the child may suffer from.

Leaders reserve the right to exclude or send home any child who is not properly equipped or a child whose behaviour is inappropriate to the event – at any time of day or night.

This is the standard MINIMUM kit list required for a Scouting camp please ensure all equipment and clothing is clearly identified with the childs name. All medication must be handed to a leader at the beginning of a camp and be clearly marked with name and dosing instructions.

The child will need to bring their own personal equipment and should be encouraged to find out for themselves from handbooks what is necessary and pack it themselves. This is only a guide

Uniform must ALWAYS be worn to and from camp

Sleeping bag, sleeping mat and pillow
Warm sweater, jumper, or sweatshirts
Book, comic and/or puzzle book
T-shirts or similar
Plate, bowl, mug, cutlery (must be plastic or tin)
Spare underclothes
Tea towels
Spare socks
Towels
Nightwear (jogging bottoms and a warm sweet
shirt are often better than PJs)
Torch and spare batteries
Hike boots or strong shoes
Swimming shorts and old trainers which can get wet
Training shoes
Personal washing kit must include shower gel/ shampoo
Waterproofs
Hankies
Trousers and shorts
Warm fleece or jacket for night time
Wool hat, scarf, and gloves
Plastic drinks bottle/container
Sun hat, sun protection cream,& sunglasses
Plastic bags for wet/dirty clothes

It is best to pack a rucksack or other bag that you can carry on your back. SUITCASES are not suitable for use in tents. If you have any queries regarding this kit list please contact the Camp Leader or your section Leader.
